This is a review of the February Love With Food Deluxe Box which is $19.95 per month and includes 15+ snacks.

The box came with a couple papers, including coupons to Hello Fresh, Wander Beauty, and Food Stirs plus a card detailing that this month’s theme was “Open Love”.

The items don’t really tie into the theme at all, though, it more just seems like a greeting note.

Now let’s chat snacks.

The February 2019 Love With Food Deluxe Box is filled with snacks by PopCorners, From the Ground Up, Tone It Up, and more!

Keep reading for details on each product!

From the Ground Up Cauliflower Pretzels

Love with Food sent two bags of these cauliflower pretzels, which are gluten free, vegan, and list cauliflower flour as its second ingredient. Super healthy, and you can definitely tell. These aren’t a very good substitute for standard pretzels in my opinion, they’ve got a bitter aftertaste and aren’t quite salty enough for me, but at least you know exactly what’s in them.

Livesmart Chocolate Flax Bar, Sheffa Coconut Dark Chocolate Granola Bar & Lily’s Sour Cherry Double Chocolate Crunch Bar

The Livesmart Chocolate Flax Bar is definitely very seedy in texture, but the chocolate does a good job of masking the flax taste. It’s gluten free, soy free, lactose free, refined sugar free, trans fat free, and very low in sodium so, basically, it’s a lot of fruit and seeds!

The Sheffa Coconut Dark Chocolate Granola Bar has great flavor–I love the coconut and chocolate blend–but the bar is definitely on the harder side and arrived snapped in half.

I was really worried I wouldn’t like Lily’s Sour Cherry Double Chocolate Crunch Bar as I’m not a fan of freeze dried cherries, but I have to say I barely tasted the cherries at all! While that might be a plus for me, that’s probably not a selling point for those looking for that cherry flavor.

The Best Bar Ever Peanut Butter Crunch & Wowbutter

The Best Bar Ever was pretty tasty! The graham cracker pieces inside were a nice touch and I don’t think I’ve ever tasted anything like it before, which was a fun surprise.

The Wowbutter was a nice peanut butter substitute. It doesn’t taste exactly like peanut butter per say, but for those who aren’t used to having Skippy’s it’s not a bad choice.

Zee Zee’s Honey Roasted Sunflower Kernels, Daelmans Caramel Stroopwafel & Awake Caramel Chocolate Bite

I loved these Zee Zee’s sunflower kernels! They were delicious and I felt like there was a pretty substantial amount of them inside the package. Definitely a tasty snack to have on hand.

The Caramel Stroopwafel tasted pretty similar to other ones I’ve had. It had a yummy inside filling and was definitely a nice mini dessert.

The Awake Caramel Chocolate Bites boast having as much caffeine as a cup of coffee, so I tried this out in the middle of a long meeting. I did notice a tiny bit of pick me up after eating it! The inside was filled with caramel, rather than just a chocolate caramel taste like I had expected.

Popcorners Kettle Corn & Drizzilicious Cinnamon Swirl Rice Cakes

I love Popcorners and eat them all the time! The texture is crunchy and feels like a bunch of popcorn smushed into a chip. Tasted just like kettle corn.

These Drizzilicious mini rice cakes were a bit too sweet for me, but I think for those who like snacks on the sweeter side (there’s actual icing drizzle on the rice cakes) then these will be good for you!

Tone It Up Protein Bar in Blueberry Coconut, Appleways Blueberry Pomegranate Simply Wholesome Oat Bar & Jana Banana Bar with Coconut

I love Tone It Up on the whole but really struggle with their protein bars. The texture is super weird, it looks like little beads of grain. The taste is okay, but I can’t handle the texture on this one.

The Appleways bar tasted more like a dessert than a protein bar! It kind of reminded me of a strudel.

The Jana Banana Bar is a dehydrated fruit bar, so for sure on the chewy side! It has coconut flakes scattered on top and definitely has a strong banana/coconut flavor.

Verdict:

This wasn’t my favorite Love With Food Box, but I think that’s just because there were a lot more bars in the box than usual and the flavors weren’t all perfect for me. For $19.95 a box with 15 snacks inside, I think this box has a great value and it’s nice to have a monthly delivery of munchies for those of us working long hours or who are always on the run.
