Keep reading for info on each product!
- L.O.V. Blurring Blush – Full Size, $11 value
- 3Ina The Cream Eyeshadow – Full Size, $14 value
- Ciate Christmas Special Eyeshadow Palette – Full Size, $24 value
- Doucce Freematic Eyeshadow Single in 20 Brittany – $10 value
First, let’s talk about the amazing makeup products in the calendar!
The marbled look of the full size L.O.V. Blurring Blush is oh-so-pretty to look at in the sleek black mirrored compact and even prettier on cheeks! The pink blends with the marbled champagne shimmer for a glowy effect that’s divine.
Also included is a cream eyeshadow by 3Ina. This creamy copper metallic eyeshadow is stunning on the lids and so easy to apply thanks to the creamy formula. It’s also cruelty-free and waterproof.
Next up is a special holiday palette by Ciate. The colors in the palette is a mix of cools and (mostly) warms in both matte and shimmer formulas. The shadows are richly pigmented and easy to blend and layer. The included Luxie brush (see below under “Beauty Tools”) works is the perfect companion to this palette!
Each 2019 GlossyBox Advent Calendar also includes a Doucce eyeshadow single from their Freematic line so there’s a magnet built into the pan so it easily clicks into the Doucce Freematic palette. (If you subscribe to FabFitFun, you probably have one!) Originally, a Doucce liquid eyeliner was going to be included but GlossyBox included a note to let everyone know that they had to substitute with eyeshadow singles. Colors vary. I received the shade “Brittany” which is a glittery silver shade which is very sparkly and festive!
- Steve Laurant Lip Gloss in Eggplant – Full Size, $22 value
- Absolute New York Matte Made In Heaven Lipstick – Full Size, $6.99
- Nudestix Lip + Cheek Pencil – Full Size, $26 value
There’s a little something for everyone with the lip products in this year’s GlossyBox advent calendar. First, there’s a full size Steve Laurent lip gloss in “Eggplant” which is a gorgeous vampy berry shade perfect for Fall.
Next, there’s a vibrant red Absolute New York matte lipstick in Bitten that would be great for holiday party looks. It’s very lightweight, dries quickly to a matte finish and has a super convenient built-in matching lip liner!
And for those that like to keep things a little more au naturale, there’s a full size Nudestix lip and cheek pencil in Mystic. Blend a few dabs of this creamy pencil on your cheeks and lips for a quick everyday makeup look.
- Winky Lux Uni-Brow Universal Eyebrow Pencil – Full Size, $16 value
- Eyeko Black Magic Mascara – Travel Size, $6.50 value
Rounding out the makeup products in this box is a full size Winky Lux Uni-Brow universal eyebrow pencil and travel size Eyeko mascara.
The Winky Lux universal eyebrow pencil is self-sharpening and has a spoolie on the other end. It’s an ashy taupe shade which should suit many brow shades. It’s easy to apply thanks to the angle of the pencil and semi-soft wax formula. Overall a great eyebrow pencil to have on hand!
Last but not least in the makeup category is a travel size Eyeko Black Magic mascara. I’ve tried this mascara before and was a fan so I’m happy to get a mini size to throw in my bag! The curved brush does a great job of lifting, curling, and defining lashes in just a few swipes.
- Furr Lash Curler – $18 value
- Invisibobble Got To Glow Holiday Set of 3 – $6.60 value
- Glossy Makeup Blending Sponge – $16 value
- Luxie 207 Medium Angled Shading Brush – $12 value
Now let’s talk about the beauty tools in this year’s GlossyBox Advent Calendar!
First up is a shiny rose gold eyelash curler by Furr. This eyelash curler has a unique angle to fit various eye shapes and delivers lasting curl and lift. It’s comfortable to hold and easy to use. There’s no refill pads included but the side of the box says to go to furrlashes.com to get a free silicone cushion pad refill.
If you read my reviews, you know I love Invisibobble hair holders so I’m always happy to see a pack included in boxes I review and this special holiday pack is extra exciting & cute because one of the Invisibobbles has a gold star charm attached to it so you can add a little holiday bling to your ‘do! It’s a set of three so two are plain and one has the star charm. The color is brown with gold shimmer.
A Glossy Makeup blending sponge is also included. It’s similar to a BeautyBlender sponge though this one has an angled bottom which makes getting into the crevices of your face easier. I received a pink colored sponge- colors may vary.
- Morgan Taylor Professional Nail Lacquer in Copper Dream – Full Size, $9.50 value
- Oribe The Lacquer High Shine Nail Polish in The Violet – Full Size, $32 value
On to nail polish! Not one but two lovely nail polishes are included in the box!
The first polish is by Morgan Taylor and is a pretty metallic copper shade called “Copper Dream”. Use two coats for total opacity though one will do in a pinch. It dries quickly and has a glossy shimmery finish perfect for the holidays!
Next up is a pricey Oribe nail polish. Colors vary, I received a rich glossy purple color called “The Violet”. I would bet that the luxe packaging of this polish is what makes up most of the retail price though the formula is pretty fab. It applies smooth without streaking and dries pretty quickly to a glossy finish. I used two coats but think you could get away with one since it’s so pigmented.
- First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration Honeysuckle – Travel Size, $12 value
- Avant Pro-Intense Hyaluronic Acid Illuminating Day Cream – Full Size, $119 value
- Apto Skincare Healing Mask Turmeric – Full Size, $16 value
- Context Micro-Derm Regenerator – Travel Size, $8.75
- Dr. Botanicals Pomegranate Superfood Regenerating Sleeping Mask – Full Size, $22 value
- Patchology Moodpatch Eye Gels in Perk Up AND Happy Place – Set of 2, $6 value
I’m obsessed with skincare so I was really happy to see so many fab skincare products in the box!
First up is a generous travel size First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. I’ve have the original version of this cream which is my go-to for ultra dry skin and this honeysuckle-infused version is just as good and has a lovely sweet honeysuckle scent. A must-have for the cooler, drier weather ahead!
I’ve tried several Avant skincare products thanks to subscription boxes and am a fan but haven’t tried this Avant Pro-Intense Hyaluronic Acid Illuminating Day Cream so I was excited to give it a go. This pricey lightweight blue-hued cream feels luxe and is packed with a mix of hyaluronic acid, jojoba oil, and avocado to draw intense moisture into the skin while skin-brightening ingredients provide an instant healthy glow. Plus, I really like the fresh, aquatic scent!
Turmeric is a popular skincare ingredient these days and this Apto Skincare Healing Mask includes turmeric as one of the main ingredients to not only give this creamy face mask its vibrant yellow color but also to help detox skin. It also contains aloe vera to soothe skin, squalane to hydrate, and azelaic acid to exfoliate. I left this mask on for 10 minutes per the instructions and was pleased with how smooth my skin felt afterwards so I’ll continue use once a week.
A good facial cleanser is essential to any skincare routine and this gel formula Context Micro-Derm Regenerator fits the bill. This cleanser/exfoliator hybrid gently buffs away dead skin cells and removes makeup leaving skin fresh and glowing.
Next up is a full size Dr. Botanicals Pomegranate Superfood Regenerating Sleeping Mask. I have several sleeping masks including one by Korres and another by Laneige that are faves so I was curious to see how this one fared against those. The rich, creamy formula contains natural ingredients- pomegranate, grape seed oil, and sweet almond oil to name a few- and leaves skin soft, smooth, and glowing the next day. This is a new favorite!
The last skincare products in the 2019 GlossyBox Avent Calendar is this set of two K-beauty Patchology Moodpatch Eye Gels– one “Perk Up” eye gel set which features an energizing tea-infused blend of green tea, bergamot, and white mulberry to provide a motivating dose of aromatherapy as it depuffs, lifts, and hydrates eyes while the “Happy Place” eye gels includes an inspiring mix of rose, hibiscus, and lotus flower to encourage creativity and positive energy.
- Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Leave-In Overnight Serum – Full Size, $40 value
- Philip Kingsley Elasticizer – Full Size, $28 value
- Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt – Travel Size, $8.62 value
I’m a fan of Alterna’s ingredient-conscious haircare products (their CC cream is a fave) so I was thrilled to see a full size Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Leave-In Overnight Serum in the box! Leave this creamy hair serum in hair overnight to lock-in nutrients and wake up with stronger, healthier hair in the morning. It has the classic Alterna scent which I love and made a difference in my hair after just one use! Amazing product!!
Next up is another hair-healing product- Philip Kingsley Elasticizer. Elasticizer is a pre-shampoo hair treatment that improves elasticity, bounce, shine, and manageability. Apply Elasticizer to wet hair before shampooing and leave in for 10 to 20 minutes, then shampoo and condition like normal. I regularly use a similar product by Olaplex (Olaplex No. 3 hair perfector) which yields amazing results on my bleached blonde, damaged hair so I was curious to see the results after using Elasticizer. While I won’t be quitting Olaplex any time soon, Elasticizer is a strong contender- it left my hair noticeably smoother and shinier- just as promised.
The last haircare item in the box is Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt. This ultra-rich, grainy scrub is actually a shampoo that is ideal for use post-coloring or as a detox treatment to remove buildup on scalp and strands. It’s specially formulated for those with oily or sensitive scalps and smells wonderful. Upon contact with water, it lathers up and does a great job getting hair squeaky clean. I’ll keep this on-hand to use after I bleach my hair.
- Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Eau De Parfum – 7ml Mini Size, $11.55 value
- Giorgio Armani Homme Code Absolu Eau De Parfum – 4ml Mini Size, $6.13 value
- Giorgio Armani Femme Code Absolu Eau De Parfum – Sample Size Spray Vial – $1.68 value
Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb perfume is very popular so it’s no surprise GlossyBox included it in their Advent Calendar this year. The dreamy, sweet mix of freesia, patchouli, jasmine, rose, and vanilla is captivating and addictive. The adorable mini bottle looks so pretty on a vanity and makes you feel even prettier when you wear it!
Surprisingly GlossyBox included not only the female version of Giorgio Armani Code Absolu but also the male version to share with your husband, boyfriend, brother, or fave guy. Each calendar includes a sample size spray vial of Giorgio Armani Femme Code Absolu eau de parfum which is mysterious and seductive and contains notes of ginger, neroli, mandarin orange, jasmine, orange blossom, tuberose, tonka bean, vanilla, and sandalwood. This rich scent is best for night imo.
A mini size bottle of Giorgio Armani Homme Code Absolu Eau De Parfum is also included. The homme version of Code Absolu features is daring and spicy with notes of green mandarin, apple, orange blossom, nutmeg, carrot seeds, suede, tonka bean, vanilla, and woods. My husband really likes this scent and he’s very picky about what he wears so it’s a winner! I think this scent can be worn day or night without being too heavy.
