Beautyfix is a monthly beauty subscription box by Dermstore that includes 6+ full and sample size skincare, haircare, and makeup products worth $100+ for $24.95 per month.

This review is for the March 2018 Beautyfix box!

Each box includes a packing list card that details each product.

This month’s theme is “Spring Refresh“.

Now on to the goodies!

The March 2018 Beautyfix box contains 9 items by top brands including Peter Thomas Roth, First Aid Beauty, Harry Josh, R+Co, Erno Laszlo, Dermalogica, Bioderma, NuFace, and V76 by Vaughn! Keep reading for more pics and info on each product!

Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud Mask – 0.5 oz size, $12.35 value (based on 1.7 oz jar cost)

First I’ll address the issue with this PTR mask-

Beautyfix advertised that a “full size” Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud mask would be included in each March 2018 Beautyfix box but PTR mistakenly sent Dermstore the wrong size mask and these .5 oz. sample sizes got shipped out in the March boxes instead of the promised 1.7 oz. size. Dermstore has emailed each Beautyfix subscriber apologizing for the mistake and offering a $25 Dermstore gift code good for any purchase.

Here’s what the email from Dermstore says:

There Should Have Been Moor

We want to thank you for being a part of our BeautyFIX™ family. We work hard to put together beauty and skin care products backed by professional ingredients and prestige. During the process, mistakes – albeit rare – can happen.

After the March BeautyFIX was shipped out for delivery, it came to our attention that the incorrect size for the Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud Mask was included in the box. This was our mistake and we sincerely apologize for the mix up.

Please accept this $25 gift towards your next beauty splurge at as our way of making it up to you.

In regards to the mask itself, I already have a full size of this product so I have tried it prior to receiving it in this box. The mask is jet black in color and has a bouncy, gel-like texture and doesn’t have any discernable scent (in case you were wondering if it smells like mud lol!). It contains mineral-rich Irish moor mud along with a bevy of nutrients, seaweed, and charcoal to draw out impurities, hydrate, and refine. After use, skin feels soft and refreshed. PTR recommends using this 2-3 times per week for best results.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream in Vanilla Citron – 2 oz size, $10 value

I love this body cream! It’s super rich, mega hydrating, non-greasy, and has a pleasant, light citrus scent. The formula contains colloidal oatmeal and even soothes skin irritations from eczema, rashes, poison ivy, insect bites, and oak & sumac. A little goes a long way so this 2 oz. tub should last a while.

Harry Josh Pro Tools Carbon Tail Comb – $20 value

This professional quality tail comb by Harry Josh is heat-resistant, virtually unbreakable, and eliminates static, making it perfect for sectioning hair during blow drying!

R+Co Cactus Texturizing Shampoo – 1 Fl. Oz., $4.16 value

This R+Co shampoo is pretty interesting. It contains diatomaceous earth from Germany, sunflower seed extract from Argentina, coconut acid from Indonesia, and other exotic ingredients to add texture, grip, moisture, and strength to your tresses. R+Co suggests not conditioning after shampooing to achieve the most texture. This shampoo definitely brought out my natural wave but I still felt like I needed some conditioner (my hair is color treated so it usually needs a little extra TLC- i.e., moisture). While this is not my fave R+Co product, I did like the floral scent!

Erno Laszlo Multi-Task Eye Serum Mask – 1 Set, $5.83 value

Ahh! These Erno Laszlo gel eye masks are so refreshing and cooling! They are soaked in serum that contains algae extract, vitamin B3, amino acids, and allantoin to combat dark under eye circles, fine lines, puffiness, and wrinkles.

Dermalogica Sound Sleep Cocoon Transformative Night Gel Cream – 0.34 Fl. Oz., $16 value

This just-launched Dermalogica face cream is pretty fab- it’s a gel-cream that contains revitalizing ingredients that transform skin overnight! Key ingredients include Persian Silk Tree extract to restore vitality, Wu-Zhu-Yu extract to enhance radiance, and Tamarind Seed Polysaccharide that creates a “cocoon” of nourishing comfort for skin. This cream not only restores the skin but also soothes the senses with aromatherapy- it contains a cocktail of essential oils for more restful sleep. After use, my skin definitely felt softer and smoother plus I really like the soft scent!

Bioderma Sensibio Foaming Gel Cleanser – 45ml size, $3.35 value

This Bioderma facial cleanser is another winner in this month’s Beautyfix box! It’s gentle, contains vitamin E to repair skin, is soap-free, paraben-free, and hypoallergenic! It has a great lather and doesn’t strip skin. Bonus: It has a nice, fresh, beachy scent!

NuFace Prep N Glow Cloths – 1 Cloth, $1 value

NuFace Prep-N-Glow cloths do it all- they cleanse, exfoliate, and hydrate skin in one quick step! The cloth is dual-sided and has skin polishing micro dots on one side to gently exfoliate skin for a brighter complexion and contains hyaluronic acid for radiance as well as antioxidants to protect skin. I liked this cleansing cloth so much I’ll most likely purchase a full size of these to have on hand for on-the-go!

V76 by Vaughn Detox Body Bar – 1oz, $2.80 value

This soap smells amazing and is formulated to purify and detox skin with natural mineral clay. It’s made for men but that doesn’t matter to me- it cleanses without leaving skin too squeaky clean and I just love the uplifting citrus-y scent!

Despite the PTR goof, this is one of my fave Beautyfix boxes to date (I feel like I’m getting really spoiled this month because so far this month’s boxes have been winners- I am obsessed with this month’s Boxycharm too which is an amazing box!!). All of the items are from top-notch brands and I really like that Beautyfix included a brand-new, just-launched product to try while it’s still only available to pre-order! The value of the March Beautyfix box is $75.49, and while it’s not the highest value Beautyfix box, it is still a great value for $24.95!

Can I still get this box?

Unfortunately, the March 2018 Beautyfix box has sold out so if you sign up now you’re first Beautyfix box will be April 2018. Stay tuned for spoilers!

What do you think of the March Beautyfix box?

  1. I used to be subscribed to BeautyFix and I really loved it, but then they changed and sent a lot of samples.

    • I agree, it is hit or miss. Some months they include 1 or 2 full size high end, highly rated products that make the box so desirable and really gives you an opportunity to find amazing products that can become your holy grails which you will repurchase. And then some months all we get is a bunch of tiny samples sizes that really don’t give you an opportunity to assess product results.
