Here’s everything in the Spring 2019 Merkaela Deluxe Box!
Ylang Ylang Euphoric Salt Bath – $18 value
Steep into a delicious bath experience to release daily stress. Ylang Ylang is known for its sensual calming aroma. The mineral-rich salts clear the aura as you remove toxins from the body and absorbs essential nutrients. Naturally, re-align your energy, melt stress away and take care of you.
I already feel more relaxed as I read the description and reason for adding Ylang Ylang to these bath salts. I love bath salts and constantly need to top up my supply.
Merkaela includes essential oils and packs in three different types of salt for a very mineral-rich mix. This bath item is great for soothing tired, aching muscles or to help with post-workout recovery. Or, have a look at the label for more ideas from Merkaela to support reflection and self-love.
Selenite Wand and Palo Santo – $19 value
Selenite is a beautiful crystal that everyone should have in their home. It provides clarity of the mind, positive energy flow, and enhances self-awareness. This crystal is extremely useful in meditation as it increases intuition and keeps the mind clear from any mental distractions. Allowing you to have a smooth and peaceful meditation.
Our sustainably sourced & ethically wildcrafted Palo Santo transforms the energy of the body, mind, and spirit. It supports the Feng shui by uplifting the vibration of a space, restoring the aura and elevating the mood.
Regardless of whether a crystal can provide clarity of mind and positive energy flow, this is a beautiful set of items that arrive carefully packed in tissue for protection from scratches. The stone is smooth to touch and easy on the eyes and I’d like to use it as a focal point the next time I sit to meditate. I suspect it really does help clear the mind from mental distraction used this way.
Fitting in with the theme of building harmony, I found that Palo Santo is often used in spiritual burning and smudging rituals. I had to look this up because I’ve never had Palo Santo sticks before. My favorite idea is the original coming from Merkaela that putting Palo Santo in the home adds good vibes. I’m very appreciative of the fact that this item was sourced sustainable and ethically.
Jasmine Body Butter – $25 value
This Jasmine body butter has been formulated to balance and restore. The floral aroma allures feelings of harmony and inspiration. Regarded in India as the “Queen of the night” named often in Sufi poetry as a symbol of love. Our selective base oils will further deepen your botanical therapeutic experience. Providing the body with the essential nutrients that nourish at the deepest levels.
Here is the star of the box, in my opinion. I have been converted away from all lotions and body oils to body butter from Merkaela given the option. Sounds hyperbolic but it’s true. I’m happy with this jasmine-scented version. It doesn’t have the soapy quality I dislike with some jasmine-infused items and it doesn’t leave a strong, lingering scent. Although it’s a whipped butter, it’s very thick so the jar can last. It melts into skin when on contact and absorbs well. This is for sure a keeper, or an extremely nice gift, and takes the task of moisturizing to a spa experience.
Rose Herbal Tea Ritual $8.50
A super healthy treat for both the body and the senses. The blend of fruits, herbs, and blossoms are high in calcium, vitamin B, and silica. Supporting healthy bones, hair, and nails. It also soothes the central nervous system by alleviating stress and anxiety. This beautiful blend can be enjoyed at any time as a well-being ritual.
The tea is an organic blend of chamomile, rose petals, orange peel, oat straw, lemon balm, and lavender. It is already sweetened with stevia. It doesn’t taste oat-y or of any one thing to me. I’m very happy with the flavor. Since there is enough for twelve to fourteen cups, I want to save some for something special like a high tea. This item showcases the level of thought and detail of the Merkaela box, coming in a nice metal tin with a quote on the lid and fully labeled with steeping directions, ingredient list, and some benefits of the tea.
Lemongrass Meditation Elixir $18.50
Step into the blissful calming state. The citrusy scent of Lemongrass encourages feelings of serenity. Freeing you up to explore pure meditative pleasure. Spray it anywhere to instantly clear your aura and create a calming, sacred space. Best used with your affirmation during meditation practice.
This spray is called ‘blissful serenity’ according to the label. I get more of an energetic lift from it due to the lemon. Maybe this scent will grow on me but the Ylang Ylang and rosemary are a tad strong for me and the lemon reminds me of cleaning. Adding an ‘elixir’ to use exclusively before meditation is a good idea for building a habit though. It’s diluted with water and the bottle puts out a small amount of mist well so I’ll try it again. The last ingredient listed is moon energy!
Tea Tree Soap Bar $9.50
The powerful properties of the Tea Tree soap are coming to the rescue. Commonly used for centuries by the aborigines to heal cuts, wounds and skin infections. Containing twelve more times antiseptic power of phenol and strong immune-building properties. The herbaceous earthy aroma promotes a feeling of purity. The natural oils and herbal extracts restore the skin, providing the perfect hydration.
For a $9.50 retail value, this will hopefully be a pretty nice soap bar. I’ve heard a lot about tea tree oil in the context of cleaning and acne control and assumed it’s too strong for daily use. However, Merkaela made a soap indicated for all skin types. The first ingredients are organic oils and it also includes aloe vera. I think it looks gentle enough for regular use and it smells like Spring to me.
Values & Boundaries Exercise:
Focus on the things that matter to you for your well-being.
To identify ‘what could use a little more harmony in your life’, there is a short exercise printed on thick card stock. Merkaela provides an example they follow on the info card:
Value – To provide a holistic experience with natural wellness products to nourish the mind, body, and spirit.
Boundary – We will not use fragrances or harmful chemicals in our products.
This item invites you to reflect on your own values and boundaries. No lengthy reading or trademarked jargon needed before applying the ideas. The card exercise looks approachable and it’s likely helpful to put into writing. I am motivated to give it a try.
(Teacup, bowl, pen, trays are my own)
If you buy the items individually from the Merkaela store, the total value of this box is $98.50. I’m hooked on the body butter and went all out with tea, bath salts, selenite wand, soap, and reflections at once. (The boundaries exercise paper easily survives at least one quick dunk in the water.)
I’m extremely happy with this box. The selections which feature Ylang Ylang, jasmine, rose, lemongrass and tea tree are great for the new spring season and indeed feel deluxe. For a boost to your wellness and meditation rituals, Merkaela box is a great choice.
